In their last event of their tour of New York City the Duke & Duchess attended the St. Andrews 600th Anniversary Dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prince William spoke at the event saying:

“It’s a fantastic pleasure for Catherine and me to be here tonight and I don’t need to tell you all just how much St Andrews University means to us both, it should go without saying to all of you in this room that the education we received there was first class.

“It’s often said by the undergraduates of St Andrews that you leave the university in either one of two states – either married or an alcoholic, well, fortunately, for Catherine and me, we ended up married!”
