The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Trocadero, where they attended a Les Voisins in Action event highlighting the strong ties between the young people of France and the UK, during an official visit to Paris, France.

September 29, 2021 – Northern Ireland – City Of Derry Rugby Club – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited The City of Derry Rugby Football Club during a visit to Northern Ireland. They couple met coaches and volunteers involved in the ‘Sport Uniting Communities’ initiative. The initiative is a collaboration between the Irish Football Association, the Ulster Gaelic Athletic Association, and Ulster Rugby. It uses the reach of each sport to promote meaningful, purposeful and sustained contact between individuals from different backgrounds – particularly across the religious divide – resulting in a change in perception and relationships.


February 26, 2022 – England v Wales Six Nations Rugby Match – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with their eldest son, Prince George attended the Guinness Six Nations Rugby match between England and Wales at Twickenham Stadium. This is Catherine’s fist time attending an England match since becoming Patron.




November 05, 2022 – The England Rugby League World Cup Quarter Final – The Princess of Wales attended the England vs Papua New Guinea Rugby League World Cup Quarter Final in Wigan, Manchester. It’s Catherine’s first Rugby Football League match since taking over as Patron from Prince Harry at the beginning of 2022. During her visit The Princess met players and members of the women’s team.




January 19, 2023 – Reception For England Wheelchair Rugby League Team – The Princess of Wales held a reception for the England Wheelchair Rugby League team at Hampton Court Palace. The reception celebrated their World Cup Final victory in November 2022, where they defeated France 28-24 to become world champions. The win was their first since the first Wheelchair tournament was held in 2008. Simon Johnson, chair of the Rugby Football League, greeted Catherine. During the reception, she offered her congratulations, and she met with team members and coaches and heard about their future goals.




February 25, 2023 – Wales vs England Six Nations Match – The Princess of Wales meets injured players who are supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, before officially opening the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, ahead of the Wales vs England Six Nations Match at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.




June 07, 2023 – The Princess Of Wales Visits Maidenhead Rugby Club – New data reveals that men are still significantly less aware than women of the impact of the first five years of a child’s life. The Princess of Wales, Patron of the Rugby Football Union, was joined by former England rugby professional and Shaping Us champion Ugo Monye for a discussion about the Shaping Us campaign, their own early childhood experiences, fatherhood, and the impact that settings such as local sports clubs can have in creating a network of support around those who are helping to raise children.




September 09, 2023 – Rugby World Cup – England v Argentina – Catherine travelled to France for the Rugby World Cup to watch England take on Argentina. England won and afterwards The Princess headed to the locker room to congratulate players. Prince William will head to France on September 10, 2023 in his role as Patron of Welsh Rugby to watch Wales and Fiji.
