September 27 – #RoyalVisitCanada – Day 4 – Kelowna & Whitehorse – Roundup & Photo

Tuesday, (September 27, 2016 marked Day 4 of The Duke and Duchess’s tour of Canada. The couple left Victoria and flew to Kelowna, a city in the Okanagan Valley to visit to the Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia. The couple met with students and watched a volleyball match with the woman’s team. They also unveiled a plaque marking their visit. The second engagement in Kelowna was at the Mission Hill Winery where they attended the BC Government’s ‘Taste of British Columbia’ festival. The couple sampled dishes and met with locals, including children with interest in the culinary and agriculture fields.

For the second half of the trip the royal couple flew to Whitehorse in Yukon. They arrived at Whitehorse International Airport where they received an official welcome and Prince William inspected a guard composed of members of the Canadian Rangers and Junior Rangers. They then headed to Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre where they watched a cultural performance, afterwards the couple met with performers.
