September 02 – The Duke & Duchess Of Cambridge Visit The Isles Of Scilly

Today, (September 02) The Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge continued their two day ‘mini-tour’ with a small change of plans this morning due to bad weather, they could not fly out of Cornwall for their visit to the Isles of Scilly. Making the most of the situation the Duke and Duchess visited the Eden Project in Cornwall. A popular tourist spot The Eden Project is a educational charity with biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, plants, and exhibitions. The Duke and Duchess toured the biomes and chatted with staff. By the afternoon weather conditions cleared up and they continued on to their scheduled stop to the Isles of Scilly. Because of their late start and time constraints they Royal Couple had to skip three previously scheduled engagements on the Island of St Mary’s. While in Tresco the pair visited the Abbey Garden. Following their visit the Duke and Duchess traveled by boat to visit Scilly Flowers, a postal flower service. From there they visited St Martin’s Community Centre where they met with locals and toured the facilities. I have added 221 high quality photos to the gallery.

In just three weeks The Duke and Duchess will be embarking on their tour of Canada, stay tuned!
