Photos: November 28 – The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Visit Leicester

Today, (November 28, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited King Power Stadium to pay tribute to those who tragically lost their lives on October 27, 2017 in the helicopter crash at LCFC stadium. The crash claimed the life of Leicester City Football Club Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha who knew William and Catherine. The Duke and Duchess were joined by Srivaddhanaprabha’s wife and son as The Duchess laid flowers alongside the many other touching tributes. The Duke and Duchess also met with volunteers who helped relocate the thousands of tributes which were previously placed outside of the LCFC stadium as well as players and members of the club’s management team.

The Duke and Duchess also visited the University of Leicester to hear about some educational programs that the LCFC helped to support. In May of 2018 Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha donated one million dollars to help fund medical research and training at the University through the creation of a Professorship in Child Health. After their visit the Duke and Duchess greeted people gathered in the University of Leicester’s Centenary Square.

Photos: November 21 – Visiting The UCL Developmental Neuroscience Lab

Today, (November 21, 2018) The Duchess of Cambridge made a previously unannounced visit to the UCL Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit to see how environment and biology shape the way children develop socially and emotionally. The Duchess talked with Professor Eamon McCrory and members of his neuroscience research team about their work with children and their families. During her visit The Duchess also toured the MRI Scanning Facility and learned about their groundbreaking research on how early experience shapes brain function. This visit advances Catherine’s work in learning about and supporting charities, health professionals, teachers, and scientist that offer early intervention for children and families streaming from her early work with issues like mental illness, addiction and family breakdown.

Photos: November 15 – The Royal Foundation’s Annual Dinner

On (November 15, 2019) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended The Royal Foundation’s Annual Dinner at the Victoria House in London, England. The dinner is in support of The Royal Foundation which revolves around four main themes of work; mental health, wildlife and conservation, young people and the armed forces community. The Duchess of Sussex became the fourth Principal Patron following her marriage to Prince Harry in May 2018. The Royal Foundation is the Cambridge’s and Sussex’s main vehicle for their philanthropic causes as they seek to invest in, or partner with, organisations with proven impact, using its profile and leverage to create a multiplier effect in resources, outcomes and knowledge. While we normally do not get photos from this event musician Tom Walker who performed at the event shared some of his photos with the William, Catherine, Harry, and Meghan.

Photos: November 15 – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Visit The BBC

This morning, (November 15, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a previously unannounced visit to The BBC Broadcasting House in London, England. The couple visited the BBC to view the work the broadcaster is doing as a key member of Prince William’s Taskforce on the Prevention of Cyberbullying. The Cyberbullying Taskforce is part of the Royal Foundation and was launched in April 2016 during Anti-Bullying Week when Prince William brought together leading tech companies, NGOs and independent advisers in a Taskforce chaired by Brent Hoberman CBE, to tackle this issue. During their visit the couple joined the BBC The One Show where they met Ellie, Eliza and Cameron from Wormholt Park Primary School for a discussion on the upcoming Kids Online Wellbeing App. They also met with young people who wrote and performed in a new campaign video for “Stop Speak Support”, a youth-led code of conduct to provide guidance on what to do when they witness bullying online. The Duke of Cambridge also gave an impassioned speech about his concerns of cyberbullying and his fears that big companies aren’t doing enough to protect individuals. Photos: November 14 – Prince Of Wales’ 70th Birthday Party

Tonight, (November 14, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined other members of The Royal Family to celebrate the 70th birthday of Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. The Duke and Duchess were photographed leaving Kensington Palace for the party. Unfortunalty, like most private family events like these we won’t be getting any more photos from inside the party. Hopefully, Catherine will re-wear this ensemble in the future!

Photos: November 14 – The Duke And Duchess of Cambridge Visit South Yorkshire

Today, (November 14, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent the morning in South Yorkshire for two engagements. For their first stop they visited McLaren Automotive where they opened the new Composites Technology Centre in Rotherham. The new centre will be used to innovate the process of designing and constructing lightweight carbon fibre ‘tubs’, which form the internal shell of all McLaren cars, providing 200 new jobs for the local area. while there The Duke and Duchess met with McLaren Automotive’s STEM Ambassadors, who work to encourage children to get involved in science-based learning and careers.

From there the couple traveled to Barnsley to visit Centrepoint, the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people. The Duke and Duchess joined volunteers and young people that use the service, to prepare lunch in the hostel’s kitchen before sitting down to learn about the new Andy Norman Learning Hub, which will provide a dedicated space and resource for young people at risk of homelessness in Barnsley, helping improve their skills and work towards independence. Before departing William and Catherine unveiled a plaque offically opening the Andy Norman Learning Hub.

Official Portraits: Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday

To celebrate Prince Charles 70th birthday the Palace has released two photos featuring his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The two photos were taken back in September in the gardens of Clarence House by royal photographer Chris Jackson, who has photographed The Cambridges in the past, he is also married to Catherine’s assistant Natasha Archer.

Photos: November 11 – Remembrance Sunday Commemorations

This morning, (November 11, 2018) The Duchess of Cambridge joined The Queen and The Duchess of Cornwall on the balcony of the Foreign Office in Whitehall for the Remembrance Sunday Service at Cenotaph. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was on the next balcony over with Germany’s first lady Elke Büdenbender. The members of The Royal Family observed two minutes of silence and Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry laid wreaths.

Later in the evening. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined The Queen and members of The Royal Family at the Westminster Abbey for a service to honor those who lost their lives in the First World War and the Centenary of Armistice Day.

On (November 10, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined The Queen and other Members of The Royal Family for the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. You may have noticed this past week members of The Royal Family have been honoring the men and women in various ways who have sacrificed themselves for their country. The Festival of Remembrance allows all the Royals to come together in one place to honor all those who have lost their lives in conflicts with members of the Legion, their families, and officials.

Photos: November 08 – The Tusk Conservation Awards

On (November 08, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended The Tusk Conservation Awards at Banqueting House in London. The Tusk Awards celebrate the extraordinary work of individuals who are protecting endangered wildlife in Africa. In December 2005 Prince William became Patron. Tusk’s mission is to support forward-thinking and successful conservation intervention in Africa and work with successful local organisations, supporting and nurturing their conservation programmes. Before the awards The Duke and Duchess attended a reception meeting with award nominees, Tusk supporters and sponsors. Photos: October 31 – The Duchess of Cambridge Visits The Imperial War Museum

Today, (October 31, 2018) The Duchess of Cambridge visited The Imperial War Museum. The Duchess visited the museum in London ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice to learn about the lives of her great grandmother’s three brothers, who fought and lost their lives in the First World War. Catherine toured the First World War galleries and learned more about what her relatives would have experienced during their time on the front line. She also was shown her great-grandmother Olive’s registration card. Olive and her younger sister Anne were both VAD nurses with the British Red Cross during the War. The Duchess also viewed several other documents relating to her relatives’ experiences, including the brothers’ letters home.

Photos: October 30 – The Duke And Duchess Visit Coach Core Essex

Today, (October 30, 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Coach Core Essex, a apprenticeship programme that helps young people who are not in education, employment or training to build a career in sports coaching. The Duke and Duchess found out more about two of these: Sport For Confidence, who uses sport to benefit the lives of people with mental health problems, physical disabilities and learning disabilities and South Essex Gym Club, which offers classes from preschool upwards for artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, adult gym and freestyle classes both of which have employed multiple apprentices through the scheme. Their Royal Highnesses meet Coach Core apprentices and graduates, and learned how the scheme in Essex is getting the local community involved in sport. Coach Core targets communities which have the highest levels of youth unemployment and social deprivation. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joinec in with tennis and indoor athletics coaching sessions and a game of Boccia – one of the sports provided by Sport For Confidence, which offers sporting opportunities for individuals who face barriers to participation. The Duke and Duchess also watched gymnasts in training at the gymnastics centre established by The Royal Foundation in 2012, shortly after the London Olympic Games and driven by a desire to build upon the legacy of the Olympics. Afterwards, The Duke and Duchess met with individuals who had gathered to meet them.
