July 01 – ‘Back To Nature’ Garden At Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Today, July 01, 2019 The Duchess of Cambridge invited children from several of her patronages to her newly updated ‘Back To Nature’ Garden.

The Duchess of Cambridge designed the newly updated garden with Adam White and Andree Davies. Since it’s debut at the Chelsea Flower Show back in May the garden has doubled in size to include a paddle pond, a bug hotel and bee-friendly wildflower meadow. Both gardens were created to encourage families to engage with nature and to spend time outdoors.

As part of her longstanding work on Early Years, The Duchess believes that spending time outdoors plays a pivotal role in children’s future health and happiness.

Her garden highlights how time spent in natural environments can help build the foundations for positive physical and mental wellbeing that last through childhood and over a lifetime.

Children from The Anna Freud Centre, Evelina Children’s Hospital, Action for Children and Place2Be joined Catherine for a for a treasure hunt and a picnic.
