Watch: Kate, Age 11 In School Play “My Fair Lady”

She may seem like one of the most polished and elegant women in the world today, but at age 11, Kate Middleton had no problem portraying a poor flower girl with a thick cockney accent. New footage from the Duchess of Cambridge’s grade school musical from 1993, My Fair Lady, has surfaced, featuring the now 32-year-old in the lead role of Eliza Doolittle.

The clip, originally obtained by the Daily Mail, features the mother of 6-month-old Prince George training to become an upright citizen with the help of Professor Henry Higgins.

The original 1956 musical, based off the George Bernard Shaw play Pygmalion, was later turned into the famed 1964 movie adaptation, starring Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and Rex Harrison as Professor Henry Higgins.

Though it’s not clear how long Middleton’s acting career lasted, she did a bit of modeling at the University of St. Andrews, which was where she met future husband Prince William.

Kate To Visit National Portrait Gallery On February 11

Kate Middleton loves the arts!

And on Feb. 11, the Duchess of Cambridge will attend The Portrait Gala 2014 at the National Portrait Gallery in London, Kensington Palace announced Tuesday.

The duchess (a patron of the organization) will meet a selection of guests at a reception before attending the Gala Dinner. Prince William’s wife and her fellow attendees will have the opportunity to view hand-written Pen Portraits and Mystery Portrait Postcards created by leading artists, authors and other well-known individuals.

Per the palace, funds raised by the gala “will support the Gallery’s daily work of delivering inspirational exhibitions and displays, offering unique learning opportunities and undertaking world class research.” Some of the funds will benefit the Gallery’s Portrait Fund, which allows for acquisition of “portraits of outstanding national importance” for the collection.

While Kate’s in the building, the philanthropic princess might want to drop by and take a look at her official portrait, which hangs proudly in the National Portrait Gallery. (Although Kate thought the painting was “brilliant,” others were quick to criticize Paul Emsley’s stoic portrayal of Prince George’s mum.)

The last time Kate paid a public visit to the National Gallery was in April 2013. Pregnant at the time with baby George, she met with children who’ve benefited from The Art Room’s charity program.

Screening Of David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D – (12/11)

Tonight Prince William and Duchess Catherine attended the Screening Of David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D. Kate recycled her lace Alice Temperley gown she first wore back in 2012, and it may be just coincidence but today the designer commented on Kate saying:

“The Duchess is an inspiration. She’s very graceful, gracious and she’s a brilliant ambassador for British fashion. She mixes up designer and high street; the perfect modern-day woman.”

Kate To Visit Shooting Star House Children’s Hospice on Dec. 6

Kate Middleton is doing her part to cheer up some very sick children.

The Duchess of Cambridge and her new darker ‘do will pay a visit to the Shooting Star House Children’s Hospice in Hampton, Middlesex, England, on Friday, Dec. 6.

Kensington Palace announced Tuesday that Middleton will tour the facilities, view a music therapy session, meet a group of volunteers and have tea with some of the kids and their families. She’ll also be going without Prince William, who we assume will be home looking after Prince George.

The 31-year-old royal is a big supporter of hospice charities and children’s palliative care in general, having toured Naomi House Children’s Hospice in Hampshire in April.

Shooting Star is one of the U.K.’s leading children’s hospice charities, hosting 650 children and young patients with life-limiting conditions and their families. Other celebs who’ve gotten involved in the organization include TV chef Nigella Lawson, X Factor creator Simon Cowell and actress Joan Collins (to name just a few).

The trip is the latest philanthropic activity Middleton’s embarked on recently.

Her Majesty’s Annual Diplomatic Reception – (12/03)

Kate is wearing a tiara! That’s the hot headline from this event. Sadly though we only have photos of Kate from inside the car but we hear she’s wearing a Alexander McQueen White Lace Gown, she’s also borrowed HM’s Diamond Pendant Earrings, and the tiara that everyone is talking about is The Queen Mother’s Lotus Tiara. The Queen, Prince William, and Kate welcomed representatives from 172 different countries last night. If anymore photos pop up those will surely be added to the gallery!
