April 12 – #RoyalVisitIndia – Day 3 – New Delhi, India – Roundup & Photos

Hello everyone! I’m extremely sorry for the delay in this post! I had a busy day yesterday and wasn’t able to post! The Duke and Duchess had another successful day on their Tour Of India. Keep reading the post for the roundup and photos!

Unannounced Engagements – The Duke and Duchess started off the third day of their tour with two engagements that were previously unannounced to the public for security reasons. The pair visited the Salaam Baalak Trust – an Indian non-profit and non-governmental organisation which provides a sensitive and caring environment to street children and working children in Delhi. The Duke and Duchess mostly spent time with the children playing games and drawing pictures. Catherine, in particular drew a picture of Anmer Hall.

In the second unannounced engagement, Prince William personally requested a private meeting with a group of women to learn more about cultural and social issues that affect them as well as the organizations and programs available that offer support. While there he Duke and Duchess heard amazing stories of survival from many of the women which you can read by clicking here.

Outfit Details: The Duchess wore a dress by the brand Glamorous. For the first time in the tour Catherine wore a new pair of flats by Russell and Bromley. And finally we see her wearing her Filigree Bead earrings once again during this tour. For more detailed information about these items check out WhatKateWore.Com.

Lunch With The Prime Minister – In their final engagement in New Delhi, Prince William and Catherine had a private lunch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Most of the details of this meeting was kept private, and the photos were released afterwards but the Prime Minister later tweeted:

Later in the day the Duke and Duchess boarded a plane for their final engagement of the day at Kaziragna National Park. For the first time in this entire tour we saw William and Catherine exit a plane! The pair received a warm traditional welcome at the Tezpur Airport.

Outfit Details: For both lunch with the Prime Minister and upon her arrival to the State of Assam, Catherine wore a new dress from Temperley London, and accessorized with her LK Bennett clutch and heels. The Duchess’s new earrings are from Kiki McDonough, and it is reported that they were especially made for Catherine to mark Princess Charlotte’s birth. In their final engagement of the day The Duke and Duchess were invited to join the Bohag Bihu festival, the celebration of the Assamese New Year. Around a campfire, the Duke and Duchess met local people and saw dance and musical performances. The pair seemed completely enamored with one young boy as he seems to be around the age of Prince George. The Duke and Duchess couldn’t take their attention off of him and many great shots came from that meeting including one in particular that shows him stepping on The Duchess’s shoes!

Outfit Details: For her final look of the day Catherine wore a dress from American designer Anna Sui, Wedges by Dune London, and a unidentified pair of earrings that it seems The Duchess has had for quite some time. For more detailed information about these items check out WhatKateWore.Com.
